Cai Hesen Sq.
Cai Hesen Square is located at the intersection of Fuxing Road and Shuyuan Road in Shuangfeng County town. Upon entering the square, visitors are greeted by a circular garden-style park, featuring a "heart-shaped" pond at its center, adorned with a large sunflower pattern. Surrounding the pond are meticulously designed flower beds. To the left, nestled among the flower beds, stands the "Huaihe Pavilion," while to the right, the "Sixian Gallery" is situated.
On the north and south sides of Huaihe Pavilion, there are couplets that fully express the profound nostalgia of the hometown people for Comrade Cai Hesen, who dedicated his life to China's revolutionary cause. The couplet on the southern side reads: "The pavilion stands proudly, connecting Hunan with Shanghai and Guangdong; The loyal spirit endures, uplifting the mountains and rivers with righteousness." The northern couplet states: "Through a century of storms, endless sorrowful songs lament the homeland; Amidst the rise and fall of all things, much greatness awaits heroes."
Each pair of pillars in the Sixian Gallery is inscribed with couplets, totaling six pairs.
At the very center of the spacious Cai Hesen Square stands a group sculpture titled "The Glorious Family of Comrade Cai Hesen." The nine golden characters of "The Glorious Family of Comrade Cai Hesen" are modeled after Mao Zedong's running script handwriting, symbolizing the profound friendship between the two Chinese revolutionary leaders, whom Mr. Yang Changji once praised as the "Two Sons Who Would Save the Nation."
