Located at No.8 Laiyang Road, Shinan District, facing toward the trestle bridge on the other bank, the PLA Naval Museum is adjacent to Lu Xun Park in the east, Small Qingdao Park in the west, the boundless sea in the south and Qingdao Signal Hill Park in the north. It covers an area of 141 Mu on land and 212 mu on sea. Established in November 1988 and officially opened to the public on October 1, 1989,It is the only large-scale professional military museum built by the PLA Navy in China.
